A return to the heart of Avalon, for a retreat to call in and honour spring. The magical town of Glastonbury will be our playground as we embark on a 4 day journey of a variety of Yoga practices, Healing experiences, workshops, ceremony and ritual.

Spring Equinox Retreat

Glastonbury town is a truly magical place. Whenever I am there I feel as though I reset myself just by walking on the land. For me it’s the perfect setting to host this retreat and share with you all the wonderful healing that Glastonbury offers, in all of it’s forms.

We will not be stagnant on this retreat, everyday there will be new settings and places for practice as well as a few mini adventures including a very special visit to the Tor and the white Well (separately).

There will be 2 Yoga Practices a day, morning and evening, with morning practice focusing on vigorous awakening and cleansing of the body and the evening practice focused on the more restorative and calming aspects of physical Yoga.

Also included are some workshops on Pranayama (breath), Mantra (Chanting) and meditation & Nidra.

I have a couple of guests joining me too. The wonderful Suzanne Wooder will be taking us on a sound healing journey. Suzanne is one of THE BEST sound healers around, with a wealth of experience in cleansing people and places with not just her amazing gongs, bowls and instruments, but also her absolutely ‘otherworldly’ voice.

We will also be having a Tarot workshop with the gorgeous Sheila Styles and a somatic movement practice through the lens of THE MOST brilliant chiro practitioner in her field, Clair Amos.

I will also be providing lunch everyday from locally sourced eateries that I love. (Vegan/vegetarian).

The spaces that we will use for practices and workshops will be various rooms of the Goddess House in the middle of Glastonbury.

The nature of retreat is of offerings, practices and mini adventures using the whole of Glastonbury as our retreat space. Sleeping arrangements, breakfast and Dinner are not provided and will have to be sourced yourself. I do provide an information sheet of recommendations of cost effective and cosy places to stay in and around Glastonbury upon booking.

Our Spaces…

Here is a peak into some of the transformative spaces that will be our places of practice over the four days. The beautiful and blessed, Goddess House rooms will be where we will immerse ourselves in our Yogadventures! Each room, is very cosy, warm and nurturing, having had so much love and care poured into them over time. Making them the perfect environment to house our retreat.

The Avalon Room is a large, majestic and beautifully decorated room, the largest in the Glastonbury Experience Courtyard.

Here we will spend the whole of the first day of our retreat, with breaks for lunch and tea and drinking in the gorgeous surroundings. We will also come back here on the evening of the 20th of the retreat {equinox day} after our cacao ceremony at the Tor.

The Miracles Room

The Miracles room has a very special place in my heart as it was the room that was our home/shala for our last retreat in Glastonbury in 2022. A beautiful and calming room full of light and the perfect for a deep and energising Yoga practice! The Mandala on the wall is stunning to look at and a great anchor for mediation.

We will be here on the 2nd morning of our retreat on the day of the Equinox!

The Brighde Room

Located on the ground floor of The Goddess House, with a view across to the Abbey, the Brighde Room is dedicated to Brighde, Brigid, the Celtic Goddess of healing, inspiration, poetry and alchemy.

Brighde is the Goddess of early spring, the festival of Imbolc, making it the perfect space for our spring Equinox retreat!

The room is painted in white and green, with a beautiful mural of snowdrops painted by Marion Brigantia and paintings by Tiana Pitman, Caroline Lir and Jo Jayson. The large windows fill the room with light. A small room to the side is installed with a massage bed and is perfect for offering treatments.

This is where we will be spending most of the final day of our retreat, besides our trip to the white Well as our final cleansing celebration!

St John’s the Baptists Church

On the 3rd day of our retreat, we have the pleasure of of Glastonbury’s St Johns the Baptist’s church all to ourselves, for our mornings Yoga Practice. After Yoga Practice we will remain in the Chapel to enjoy a sound Healing Journey harnessing the glorious acoustics of this beautiful 15th century building dedicated to spiritual contemplation!

The Glastonbury Tor

Here is the beautiful and energetic Glastonbury Tor which has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries. This will also be a place for us to pilgrimage to during our retreat. On the First day we will go to the foot of the Tor for our Cacao ceremony and ecstatic dance and on the 3rd day in the afternoon we will venture all the way to the top of the mound to harness the air and do a great breathing, Wimhoff like breathing practice.

Glastonbury Tor is a 518-foot hill in Somerset, England, renowned for its spiritual significance. Often called the Earth's "heart chakra", it is believed to be a powerful energy center where two ley lines - Michael (masculine energy) and Mary (feminine energy) - intersect.

This unique convergence creates a strong energy field, attracting visitors seeking healing, meditation, and spiritual connection. The Tor is also steeped in myths, including ties to King Arthur and Avalon, and has been a sacred site for thousands of years, from Druid rituals to Christian worship. Its terraced slopes form a natural spiral, amplifying its energy, and visitors often report sensations like heightened awareness and peace.

The White Spring

We will be visiting this very special place for our cleansing spring water ritual!

It is one of the greatest mysteries of the Isle of Avalon that two different healing springs, one touched red with iron, the other white with calcite, should rise within a few feet of each other from the caverns beneath Glastonbury Tor. Both have healing in their flow.

In honour of the Spirit of the White Spring, a Temple has been created here in gratitude for the gift of pure water. A Victorian built Well House that nestles beneath Glastonbury Tor was ideal for this purpose, a blessing indeed. Cavernous and set apart, in blackness or candle lit, mysterious it remains. A wonderful contrast to the sunlit gardens of Chalice Well of the Red Spring. The interior consists of three domed vaults 16ft high, with beautiful bowed floors - like the hull of a boat moored at the portal to the Otherworld. With it's constant temperature, and the sound of the perpetually flowing water, it is a unique and sacred space.
